MANIP has been going according to the plan of the last half year.
Now we have about registered 400 local herder communities-pastoralists from Kazakh, Tuva, Uriankhai, Khalkh ethnic culture and traditions in Mongolia.
MANIP is a national-wide alliance of nomadic pastoralists in Mongolia that has a large membership from pastoralist communities in each region of the country. Each region has a focal pastoralist member, who facilitates the communication and coordination with the communities. The communities were founded in 2006-2007 and each community group consists of 5-60 herder families.
Also the Central Asian Network includes pastoralist organization communities from Altai Republic of Russia 2 communities, 3 pastoralist organization from Kazakhstan, 2 pastoralist communities from Kyrgyzstan, and 2 pastoralist organization from Uzbekistan and 1 from Tajikistan.
